Achievements and adventures in food education:
In September 2024, Prepare Produce Provide (PPP) made our annual journey to 2024 Dust Up festival in the remote Ngaanyatjarra Lands in Australia's Western Desert, bringing food, knowledge and a spirit of Kutjupanguru nintirringama—learning from others.
The Prepare Produce Provide team had the honour of supporting two talented Ballajura Community College students at the Australian Culinary Federation National School Competition in Adelaide!
Prepare Produce Provides bespoke non-alcoholic beverage Kepa Kwab ~ (Beautiful Water) was a huge hit when it featured at EvokeAG’s WA Regional BBQ event, commemorating the closing of EvokeAG 2024 on February 21st at the Museum Boola Bardip in the centre of Perth.
Prepare Produce Provide were thrilled to be involved in the Danjoo Koorliny 2024 Djinda Mereny / Dinner Under the Stars Gala Dinner held at Government House Gardens on the 14th of March. It was a magical evening filled with warmth, culture and inspiration.
The Prepare Produce Provide Djinda Ngardak Kinjarling 2023 event was a celebration of the efforts achieved at the World Indigenous Tourism Summit held earlier in the year at Crown Perth. The Djinda Ngardak Kinjarling 2023 culinary program was curated in collaboration with Elder Vernice Gillies and family, and industry professionals Chef Paul Iskov, Chef Tanya Healy and Chef Mellissa Palinkas.
Our Prepare Produce Provides Djinda Ngardak Program Youth Ambassadors and participants attended a fundraiser night at Fraser's Restaurant Kings Park on the 19th of November 2023, to raise funds for the National Youth team to attend the next IKA Culinary Olympics in Germany in 2024.
The Women in Mining WA 2023 Summit was held at the Perth Exhibition and Convention Centre on the 21st of October 2023. Prepare Produce Provide was a part of this wonderful event and were able to showcase our programs – KEPA KWAB Non-Alcoholic Beverages, Djinda Ngardak and 5000Meals.
The Kepa Kwab - Beautiful Water Pilot Program featured at the Hospitality Group Training (HGT) showcase event held at the Pan Pacific Hotel on the 17th of October 2023. The HGT Youth Skills Showcase was a fantastic celebration of youthful culinary and hospitality endeavours.
Established a decade ago, Prepare Produce Provide has been providing young people with pathways into the hospitality industry. Two of its ambassadors talk about the program’s influence on their lives.
The PPP team had a busy start to 2023, March being a highlight with the World Indigenous Tourism Summit (WITS) held at Crown Perth featured PPP’s Djinda Ngardak Culinary Program.
The IKA Culinary Olympics was held in Stuttgart, Germany from February 14 - 19, 2020. This competition, which attracts competitors from more than 70 countries, is the most prestigious, colourful and oldest international exhibition of culinary arts.
Senior Pathways, Pathways and Transitions and Aboriginal Outcomes and Partnerships directorate piloted an Aboriginal Career Learning Immersion program in 2020.
Less than 2 weeks after reading about this fabulous opportunity we were finding ourselves driving down south to the Pemberton / Manjimup area ready for a few days of networking and learning so much about this amazing food bowl area.
