Djinda Ngardak 2024

Culinary Youth Program

Djinda Ngardak 2024 is a week-long event from 25 - 30th November 2024 for Aboriginal students and their teachers.

Joining us on this journey will be Celebrity Master Chef Mindy Woods, proud Bundjalung woman of the Widjabul Wia-bul clan.

During the week from Monday 25th - Thursday 28th we will be enjoying the Southwest experience, exploring the food supply chain and local expertise. Alongside the student experience, we are holding Teacher Professional Learning and Trainer Currency Workshops with Mindy Woods, as well as other celebrity chefs including our own Prepare Produce Provide chefs. The theme will be exploring people, place and pedagogy.

On Friday, 29 November we will celebrate the journey with the Djinda Ngardak Gala Dinner, offering students and trainers the opportunity to work alongside some of Australia’s top chefs to develop and prepare a native food inspired menu for the formal dinner for over 100 guests.

On Saturday, 30 November there will be Connecting Culture ~ Finding the Right Way - a four hour event for teachers, trainers and anyone who works with Aboriginal children and youth to support cultural integrity in workplace practices.

Expressions of Interest are now open.
